A Day In the Life of an O.R.A.L. Freshman

Doesn't that sound official? I'm going to pitch it to the campus newspaper as a regular Feature column! I'll only be a Freshman for another semester, so it's important that I jump on this opportunity.

I never thought I would get into Journalism, but after spending all of Fall Semester knocking back and forth between different groups on campus, it's become apparent to me that my strengths lay in listening to and repeating stories. Some may call it gossip, but journalists call it "news"!

Besides, I love reading and writing...though some of my favorite stories are blatantly fiction...

But, those aside, I'm positive I'm going to be a fantastic journalist! The paper currently has me interviewing new professors to see how they're getting along on campus — but I just know that I'm meant for bigger and better things. If I can get the Features column I'm interested in, I'll be able to relate all sorts of interesting things I've heard whispered between students.
