We only do one printing of each Furoticon set. When it's sold out, that's all we make. But sometimes, we include cards from past sets in our newest set. These are called "reprints."
Why do we reprint cards? Two reasons: first, it enables new players to easily get their hands on popular cards, and second, veteran players' cards retain their collector's value!
We try to make sure art matches the theme of the set, which means we get new art for the same card. But sometimes, the past art is just awesome enough to get us to reprint the card with the same art!
In Caramel, we did two art reprints:
Iso is a very expensive, but very powerful Furre to play! With a cost of 11 AP and 4 Otherkind GP, you'll have to amass a lot of resources to be able to play him -- but when you do, he'll turn the game massively in your favor!
Perilous Precipice is the opposite of Co-ed Dorm! Instead of generating Male or Female points, Perilous Precipice generates Herm or Otherkind points. Hooray for keeping options open!
You can find both of these awesome-looking cards in Caramel booster packs!

on Dec 27th, 2014 @ 08:53 AMI don't mind reprints to help out new players like myself. I just find it funny how soo many people hold an original copy of a card and find it's worth more than a card that does the same thing only printed later.Yuri-Bloodfang
on Dec 27th, 2014 @ 07:18 AMBut do you add cards from previous sets into the boosters? I had a couple 2nd cards included in my order. Not complaining though as I didn't have them...dranson13

on Dec 26th, 2014 @ 09:18 PM@JavelinChimera: That's happened to a bunch of us, and not just with these two cards. I haven't seen an official statement on it, but on the forums Keaton and I have both mentioned our pre-order boxes contained exactly one rare second vanilla card in a pack.
I'm not sure if it was a weird (but welcome) mistake, a way to clear out lingering second vanilla stock, or a special bonus for pre-orders.LadySikerra
on Dec 26th, 2014 @ 09:01 PMFantastic art on both of these. Iso looks very intimidating, and Perilous Precipice just feels so expansive and grand.JavelinChimera
on Dec 26th, 2014 @ 08:54 PMSo I pulled a Perilous Precipice from my boosters but it was exactly the same as the Second Vanilla printing, I mean even down to the set icon. Makes more sense now, probably was supposed to be one of the reprints, just kind of a surprise at the time, haha.
