Furo Gaming Weekend 2014 was a blast! The only complaint I heard was that it wasn't long enough -- the weekend blazed by since we were having so much fun!
Four-player bomberman on the left, Smash Up on the right!
So much fun, in fact, that I forgot to take pictures at many points during the Weekend!
There was tons of Furoticon, Smash Up, Kittens in a Blender, Golem Arcana, and a new mystery prototype game (it'll be coming soon -- it was so loved at FGW that I'll be emailing everyone when the Kickstarter goes live)!
On the video game side, people enjoyed classics such as Bomberman, Smash Bros, Shadow of the Colossus, and more!
There were three rounds of gaming during the annual SNESLympics. In the first round, players played Bomberman against each other, and the top 6 scorers went on to second round. In the second round, the goal was to simply beat the first level of Bubsy. If you've ever played Bubsy, you'll know how frightening that challenge is. Even with 9 lives, some players couldn't even complete the first level!
The top 3 players were Christy, Iso, and Someguy, who moved on to play Tetris Attack in the final round. The objective was to survive as long as possible against... me! Christy lasted almost 3 minutes, while Iso and Someguy both survived nearly 7 minutes each, but Someguy pulled ahead, surviving 5 seconds longer than Iso for the win!
Staring down a horde of Greedy Lions!
Saturday night, we held a Furoticon mutliplayer free-for-all, where everyone is out for themselves! There were some crazy decks built for this event. In the photo above, Mage (not pictured on the far left) had Magical Afterglow in the scene:

So, pleasure was traded back and forth, and players regularly took 10 or more pleasure in bed. Each time a player went down to 5 or less stamina, it was during a time when Magical Afterglow was triggered, causing the player to orgasm and Mage to snipe the points for each victory!
But that wasn't as wacky as what was happening at the other table...

From left to right, Doc, Raishi, Loikar, and Vemika started a fiercely competitive game. Raishi put up a wall of Generous ladies, Loikar misplaced everyone's decks, Vemika built an army of 13 wolves, and Doc somehow played a 4-gender deck that had no underlying goal.
Loikar didn't quite like Raishi's Generous wall, and decided to move all the Generous Alterations onto his own Furres:

Doc didn't know what half of his cards did. So when he played one specific card, the entire room stopped what they were doing to look. Loikar visually demonstrated what the card does:

What card is that?
...

Oh my goodness.
To help resolve what happened to the 47 other Furres in the scene, Mage assisted:

In the end, there was a stack of 47 cards in Behemoth's belly!
Everyone's decks were empty thanks to Loikar misplacing everything. Loikar and Vemika had no more Furres in hand. Only Raishi still had a hand of Furres left, and it was just barely enough to take down the Behemoth. Raishi's remaining ladies finished the game!

On Sunday, we wound down with a special mystery format of Furoticon -- Mage brought his "cube" for everyone to draft from. This cube was approximately 300 cards from every Furoticon set since 1st Vanilla, no duplicates. All the high-powered and wacky card combinations came to life in this draft!
Callista brought delicious food throughout the Weekend, and we finished it up with a delicious ice cream social up to the very final moments when we had to close up.
Our thanks go to everyone for making the Weekend amazing. We'll be doing it again next year!
If you have any FGW memories to share, please post them in the comments!

RainbowKitten on Oct 8th, 2014 @ 08:44 AM That sounds like such a wonderful weekend, I bet everyone had a blast. I'll have to do everything I can to get out there next year!
yuko on Oct 8th, 2014 @ 07:14 AM damn, I wish I should have been there to see that, that sounds like it was one hell of a game to watch!

clase90 on Oct 8th, 2014 @ 05:04 AM WOW mens...How is ready Furoticon online? It's so bored.
Taz on Oct 7th, 2014 @ 04:51 PM Oh look, pictures of me that aren't horrifying. :)
Honestly, between getting SSB, meeting everybody, all the Furoticon and everything else, there was really just so much stuff packed into not nearly enough time. I remember first-picking Sex Addict from a pack consisting almost entirely of Otherkind cards in Mage's cube. It was pretty nuts. Oh, and I got to sign my card. ^_^
BTW, if any of you want to face me in Smash Bros., just let me know and we'll exchange friend codes (if we haven't already)! :D
TaikeiNoYuurei on Oct 7th, 2014 @ 04:34 PM Sure was a blast, can't wait to come back next year. Also can't wait for the Secret Mystery Project Island (TM) to get its kickstarter. I'd love to playtest it some more *nudgenudge*. Raine (sp?) loops must be included somewhere in the rulebook.
You should add the picture with the full belly, it was so funny seeing the behemoth sitting on a 3 inch pile of cards.
Vemika on Oct 6th, 2014 @ 08:51 PM Behemoth got sent to Hell's "Ironic Punishments" division. General confusion was reported, since James Coco went mad in fifteen minutes. ;) Still, another fun year, and lots of nice folks to meet or get re-acquainted with.
Tegome on Oct 6th, 2014 @ 05:42 PM Oh, man, this was amazing. And I can't say enough how awesome it was to finally meet everyone.
...People are going to be talking about that Behemoth play for years.
Nezumi12 on Oct 6th, 2014 @ 01:01 PM i soooooo want to go one of these years. i may start saving up for next year. actually. no. i WILL start saving up.
BlueJay on Oct 6th, 2014 @ 01:00 PM Damn, that's a moment to remember, all right.
ezekiel_tyr on Oct 6th, 2014 @ 11:48 AM well cant wait tell i get a chance to heat out to fgw sometime
Kaia_Cougar on Oct 6th, 2014 @ 11:30 AM That's an amazing story. Even the best planned decks can be waylaid by a bahemoth played from a four gender deck whose only strategy is unpredictability.
sirdan87 on Oct 6th, 2014 @ 10:17 AM Sounds like everyone had fun. I so wish I can make it there some day. Glad to see the event was filled with high spirits and fun.
