When Inventor Creyta was still in Panaway, making due for herself, she invented her first Construct. Her Gas Conductor friend, Ahlooka, helped her with that first special force, a sweet and helpful spirit who ended up inhabiting a less than friendly-looking body...

...though its face is adorable enough to charm Patrons! Hedgec'og may have been the first Construct, but it wasn't bound to be the last.
Her second creation was developed when she handed over some control to her lover, the Mechanic Deeka...

...and what a smart idea that had been! With Shar'og, Deeka took the wood and metal design of Hedgec'og and installed some extra circuitry, finding that the metal connections allowed for the changed composition of the spirit to find more fluid movement and function within its jointed body. Roog'og, being the third, found an even lighter and more pronounced benefit from having thin ceramic plates as its body make-up.
Indeed, Mechanic Deeka was one of Inventor Creyta's greatest assets...

...and one of her dearest loves. Between the two of them, there can only be newer and more bold ideas for the future of Constructs in Vell's End!

That Hedgec’og card seems a lot like a Vanguard card, but I still love this one :3

With all the constructs and the Jinvon (sorry, reading backwards), it looks like the Other kin are going to benefit greatly in this update. I'm assuming the Jinvon qualify as Other kin.

Oh god, Hedge is utterly adorable.

I hope this set ends up containing an earlier version of some of the constructs from Triskelion. Especially to see what they were like when they were new and working at peak condition.

i like the way the three pictures are actually one continuous image.
Also, Hedgec'og looks adorable. I don't think he's "less than friendly-looking" (it's possible to safely pet a porcupine, after all).

Kaia - It'd be a high-temperature wax (a type of wax that only melts at very high temperatures). :)

Phinochio: "Man, I wish I was real…"
Deeka: "Nah bro, I'm good."

Ooohh, i can´t wait to see some love between the two girls. And wonderful art!
Kaia_Cougar on May 13th, 2014 @ 11:37 PM
Ah. I thought that could be it.
Wait...coated with what? Plastic is too modern. Metal would conduct, wax would melt, fabric might burn. I guess it could be dyed natural rubber, if they have access to that species of tree...
Sorry...been doing a lot of medieval age research lately. :P

They're spools of coated wire, but I can see how they look like thread!
Kaia_Cougar on May 13th, 2014 @ 10:02 PM
The spools of thread are confusing me. What is she working on that requires that much thread?
ezekiel_tyr on May 13th, 2014 @ 08:56 PM
