Hey guys! I've been working my butt off getting the last batches of Furoticon Online art off to our art team. I finally got the time to sit down and answer some questions on the Furoticon Tumblr and I got a great one that let me show you one tiny little taste of the game so far....
Hi, polkakitty here. Can you tell us anything about the interface for building decks in Furoticon Online? It seems to me like something that would be tricky to implement well because the limited resolution of the screen means you can't display a huge number of cards at once at a recognizable size, so it'll need to have good functionality for organizing your cards by specific criteria (genders, card types, costs, Furre types, etc.)
Polkakitty brought up a perfect question that lets me give a little UI spoiler!
Hmmm, what's this?
This is a screenshot sent in by our UI artist, which shows off a bit of our Harem (deckbuilding) interface! The user has clicked "The Grapevine", and now has the option of finding more in the Market, Selling the card in the Market and Adding it as a Fave so it's easier to access.
What can you spot in the background?
I know we've been really tight fisted with our updates, but that's because we're planning a huge website update on a FuroticonOnline specific website. We'll still crosspost the big news, but soon there will be a Furoticon Online central where you can get all your Online info in one spot!
Hope you like this little taste, and be sure to check out the Tumblr page for answers to a lot of good questions. I haven't had the time to draw out responses, but I figure you guys just want some news more than my scribbles, right? ;)
Sorry, comments are closed for this article.

Is there going to be a way that we can transfer cards we bought in the real world to this? I have the pre-order on the way plus the Strawberry box set at home. It would be preferable to not have to buy a new set JUST for online.

Uh what? I almost thought this was dead or something for a long while. Aaaanyways, I presume buying furos with paypal is a no-no?

Some info is always cool, but we will get the "hype" side effects later.

RainbowKitten - An iPhone/Android with a web browser that supports the Unity plugin CAN play Furoticon Online. Unfortunately there will be no official app on the Iphone/Android market due to their content policies.

Heh, "Triskeleton" as a name for a placeholder set, that's awful. I love it.
This is just a really nice-looking interface. I like the color scheme, and it's easily readable without looking too clinical. (One nitpick: I just realized that the labels "Your Collection" and "My Decks" are a bit inconsistent, since those are both presumably referring to the same player. I wonder how many players would ever even notice that, though.) Also, being able to get a closer look at the rules text on the cards would be good, although of course, when we're actually playing the game, I'd guess it will be about twice the resolution of that image for most of us. (My monitor is 1600x900, which I assume is pretty typical right now.)
It also looks like there's some kind of support for exchanging and comparing deck lists with other players, which, wow. You have no idea how happy that makes me.
There's a lot of great information on the Tumblr page as well, but it kind of makes me sad that apparently nobody besides me is asking questions. Seriously, guys, send in more questions.

It looks amazing, it looks very much like the card, making a comfortable and familiar look and feel to it, I approve!
KoutaLeon on Nov 26th, 2013 @ 07:30 PM
But it's gonna be a paid-for-play game? o.o or can you buy cards with some kind of game points? o.o
