Well, if you put it that way... *signed up*
Seppel on Aug 8th, 2013 @ 03:08 PM
@fawx: Playtesting is done *OVER THE INTERNET* :)
puploki on Aug 8th, 2013 @ 03:01 PM

fawx on Aug 8th, 2013 @ 10:21 AM

Seppel on Aug 8th, 2013 @ 08:50 AM
@Vemika: We want experienced players AND new players. Gotta make sure the cards are easy for a newbie to pick up on. :)
vulpix-pie on Aug 7th, 2013 @ 11:28 PM
I've signed up! As a BIG fan of hypno I can't wait to see what this set has >:3
Kaia_Cougar on Aug 7th, 2013 @ 09:12 AM
Well, I signed up. Hope I get in because WHAT DOES IT MEAN I WANT TO KNOW THE SECRET PLEEEEAAASE.
*cough* sorry, I don't know what came over me. Must be swamp gas from that swamp in Strawberry.
CasterDragon on Aug 6th, 2013 @ 07:19 PM
I would want to test these but I really don't like spoiling suprises for new things so I am just going to wait this out.
Vemika on Aug 6th, 2013 @ 04:39 PM
I'd be interested, but considering I just got my first cards when I got my Strawberry box, and have yet to play a game, you're likely looking for someone more in tune with the current meta.
CallistaSkip on Aug 6th, 2013 @ 03:18 PM
@Felidire -- We don't send the NDA; you sign it electronically on our website. :)
Playtesting is done exclusively online!
sirdan87 on Aug 5th, 2013 @ 10:41 AM
I put in an application, best of luck for those going through the filter.
Drakon on Aug 5th, 2013 @ 10:35 AM
All signed up. I'm a big fan of the game! It should be a fun testing session.
Felidire on Aug 5th, 2013 @ 08:05 AM
I'd sign up, but it'd be a pain in the butt having to send an NDA all the way out to Aus. Curious though, do you mail testing cards out as well, or are test matches conducted in a purely digital manner?
Kehran_Remsus on Aug 4th, 2013 @ 02:51 PM
Sounds good and it fun to beta test games. I hope to be chosen for this.
Snebze01 on Aug 4th, 2013 @ 02:05 PM
Sadly I don't play that much... but... Hypno swirl?
Scrimno on Aug 4th, 2013 @ 01:25 PM
I'm all signed up! That reminds me of a hypnotic wheel. Or maybe a sprout. Perhaps it's something more cosmic.
ezekiel_tyr on Aug 4th, 2013 @ 12:26 AM
hmm i think i might not be qualified but still gona sign up to see ^^
Darkkismeth on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 11:56 PM
That symbol looks to me like a rat or mouse tail. It could be a symbol of a cult or something, or just the symbol of the world, in which the card set is existing. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! ARGH!
They told me, i could be everything, so i became a secret!
Nezumi12 on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 08:58 PM
the symbol is a spiral, so it could mean tornado (off to Oz) or down the rabbit hole/journey to the center of the earth. it could also be a giant magic beanstalk. anyway you look at it, i sense some kind of fairy-tale/wonderland fantasy.
of course, it could represent the last time you see your pet goldfish as you say a tearful good-bye...
Nezumi12 on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 08:52 PM
unfortunately, i'm only available between 12 midnight and 4 am ET. otherwise this would've been something i'd love to do.
CallistaSkip on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 08:48 PM
@Katya - 1) Nope! As Seppel wrote above, "...NOT a requirement." :)
2) The Development team has spent a significant amount of time creating the cards which are to be tested. That being said, the purpose of testing is so the cards can be improved upon! Suggestions are the name of the game.
3) That info will be made available to playtesters ;)
4) Addresses are necessary because you're going to have to sign a legally binding Non-Disclosure Agreement -- the information you fill out on the application will NEVER be made public for any reason, but is necessary for our files.
That being said, playtesters are capable of earning prizes based off their participation in testing, and those prizes are mailed out at some point following the release of the new set. You can opt out of receiving your playtesting prize if you need to for whatever reason.
CallistaSkip on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 08:38 PM
@CaptBozo - Hells yeah!
@Akinokaze - Seppel updated that bit on the playtesting app. (We are in Eastern Daylight Time.)
As long as people are awake/around, they are allowed to playtest with each other -- except for certain organized games, we allow people to play whenever they're around. There will be a private chat room that playtesters will be able to use to find others to play with.
KatyaButtress on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 06:22 PM
Oh, and before I forget, why exactly do we need to provide our address? Are we going to be getting merchandise? Because of personal reasons, I would NOT want things from Furoticon being mailed to me, disguised or not. I do not want to put such personal information on this website.
KatyaButtress on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 06:15 PM
OK, so I would definitely be interested in playtesting. Just a few questions:
1. Do I have to have played Furoticon before? I've watched all the videos and looked at most of the cards (ok, some of them were for the pictures only but still). Mainly, do I have to know about the established metagame already?
2. How much creative control will I have individually? For example, can I change how a card works or suggest new cards?
3. What program are we using to test? Is it a custom built software or something else?
polkakitty on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 02:02 PM
So I guess this would be the new set symbol, then? I wonder. The set symbol for Triskelion was a well-known BDSM symbol, so it would have been easy to guess the theme from that, but Tribes of Tanglebrook had a sort of stylized symbol representing the rivers connecting all the tribes' territories, so you couldn't have guessed the set's themes from it. I wonder if this symbol relates directly to the theme of the new set, or just to some key part of the lore behind it....
Truth be told, I kind of looked at it and immediately thought "hypnosis", but I don't think it can be just hypnosis, because that wouldn't provide enough material for a whole set.
Akinokaze on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 01:11 PM
I assume that form is asking for US evenings, in which case I can't help.
If you are playtesting over skype or something allowing people globally to help it might be worth updating that entry form to state the playtimes in GMT so that it's easy for people to work out their local times [or at least have a link to a website that tells you the current time in the timezone you choose to use.]
captainbozo on Aug 3rd, 2013 @ 12:27 PM
I'm signed up and ready for swirly testing :D
