As time went on, the tales of Murodian rat sightings became too numerous to be blamed on storytellers. By that point, the rats had stolen plenty of valuable objects from the Alphus wolves--so many, that they had started their own bartering system based on the items and technologies they gained.
The Alphus leaders decided it would be best to engage in a friendly discourse with the rats. But when it came time to talk, every rat kept its mouth shut, with a smug shrug of ignorance.
Nobody would even take them to a leader, always misdirecting when asked a simple question.

The Alphus decided to send a small team with an ambassador directly into rat territory. The ambassador was a leader named Trum, and he was ready to venture and find an answer, no matter how long it took.
And it took a long time.

He received multiple answers to even the simplest question: "Where is your leader?"
"Oh, Vriga? She's in the third hut on the eastern path."
Trum found only two huts.
"You're looking for our leader, Tailraiser? She's meeting with the Lutani right now. You can probably wait and she'll meet you here this evening."
But nobody came.
"Lei Aire hangs out by the southern stream. She's there right now, I know it!"
Lei Aire was there, but she was definitely not their leader.

Trum knew better than to accept the Murodian's invitation. So he returned to the Alphus with his team, empty-handed.
Gurt, the muscle of the Alphus tribe, was not pleased. It was time to do things his way.
Will the dragons punish the Alphus wolves for starting war? Or will the Murodian rats slip up and give in to the wolves' demands?
You'll decide their fate in Tanglebrook: Wolves vs. Rats!
Preorders start June 1st!

I know there were some books released for a past set, but seeing the full story here would be a great addition!

Do these story posts come in a booklet with the decks? Knowing this backstory will make the game even more fun, I think.

how do we know Lei Aire isn't the leader? even leaders deserve a chance to rest and recreate.

Packmaster Gurt is just a rabblerouser. Cooler heads would prevail in the end. I hope.

The wolves better be careful. They'll inadvertently give the rats everything they desire with no consequences!

Things get tense with a tribe of tricksters. This can only end in one fashion...
