cuddles on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 03:33 PM Yea, more cards. Would love to draft this set and see if it will work.
Draconis on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 11:12 AM Excellent. A new set. :) Really looking forward to this. I love this card game so much. The Name for it is perfect too. :)
LadySikerra on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 09:38 AM Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? A new set already? I feel like Brundali just came out. You guys sure are prolific! :)

Nezumi12 on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 09:36 AM oh, also: that symbol in the center of the frame looks like a stylised Cock's head (beak, comb, etc.)
Nezumi12 on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 09:35 AM hmmm... "Duel Decks" as in "thou hast offended me. prepare to defend thyself." so now i'm wondering: is this going to be more Brundali; a new Medieval-style setting; or perhaps a new play style that uses all the previous rules and cards, but functions more lie Yugioh or Pokemon.
Triss on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 06:59 AM I suspect that the fact that it's called climax has something to do with the 10nth set being a spectacular mile stone for the company.
Perhaps the allusion to multiple characters from multiple settings within furoticon is suggesting that the Duel Decks are being set up around characters that have been important to building decks in the past.
ezekiel_tyr on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 02:53 AM another year to wait and see what is to cum, i can wait
polkakitty on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 01:15 AM Hmmm. Okay, first, that set symbol is amazing. It's incredibly suggestive while at the same time, looking completely like it could actually be part of a language with a writing system designed around brush strokes.
I guess the obvious way to set things up here would be to have one pair of decks for each of the established settings in the Furoticon universe, but since there are now 5 settings (Vanilla, Triskelion, Tanglebrook, Fortune, and Brundali) and 4 pairs of decks, that doesn't quite work. Still, I think this set must include characters that originally came from different settings because if all the characters in it were from, say, Triskelion, then the theme would be BDSM. Maybe it'll be a chance to flesh out characters like Talgurin and Patron Ravamani that we haven't seen much of in the game despite their importance in the stories, and explore more of the worlds through them.
@Zeneth_Starr - Well, maybe it could be a little bit of both. Caramel covered a lot of the basic cards that everyone should have handy (Field, Mesa, Thrust, Spread and Begging, Kidnapped/Declined,) but there are still a lot of distinctive cards in the out-of-print sets that I think would be nice to see again, and I think there's a lot that could still be done with mechanics like Hibernate, Fellowship, and Glutton without necessarily building a whole set around them.
blizleopard on Sep 23rd, 2015 @ 12:53 AM I do hope this isn't a subtle hint at it being the last set to be released by you guys...
Zeneth_Starr on Sep 22nd, 2015 @ 09:51 PM I'm guessing this is either going to be reprints of previous cards (sort of a Furoticon All-Star set) or a set that utilizes all of the various editions's special rules.
Raishi on Sep 22nd, 2015 @ 09:33 PM No mini-set this year, hmm? And not 5th vanilla? Well, this is curious...waiting to see more!
Kaia_Cougar on Sep 22nd, 2015 @ 09:22 PM This intrigues and confuses me...
Astrid Varelse on Sep 22nd, 2015 @ 09:04 PM Oh wow! So a full year before the next set?! Oh well -- I'll buy them all -- next year!
