Code of Conduct

The Furoticon Gaming Weekend (FGW) is intended to be a gathering for folks who appreciate anthropomorphic culture, traditional gaming, and video gaming. While we have many things planned, our main goal is to bring people together in a pleasant atmosphere to interact. We will try and offer a wide variety of games and entertainment to everyone who attends, from Furoticon to Bomberman, from Apples to Apples to Fluxx. Like any other gathering, furry or otherwise, we have rules to ensure that everyone has a great time. Consider this conduct policy in effect from the time you arrive at our location until the time you leave.

Staff
FGW will be headed by Seppel (Forrest McDonald) and Callista (Leslie Smith) (hereby referred to by "The Hosts"). They will be accompanied by handpicked staff that will help them answer questions and keep things mostly organized. Staff members will be wearing special identifying badges that will be pointed out at the Opening Ceremony. If you need anything or have a problem, please let a member of staff know.

"Three Strikes"
FGW will work on a "three strikes and you're out" rule. Any and all persons, including FGW staff, who overstep the following rules more than two times will have their privileges stripped and asked to leave FGW. The Hosts also reserve the right to remove a person at any time, if the transgression warrants it.

Age Requirements
FGW will be for mature audiences only (18 years of age and older). At registration, you are stating that you are 18 years old or older. If you are found to not be 18 years old, you will not be able to attend FGW.

Badges
You must wear your badge at all times while at FGW. Your badge will contain a badge name of your choosing and a unique number. There will be no punishment for you losing or altering your badge during the course of the weekend replacement badges are available. Any missing badge will be documented. A State- or federally-issued ID (driver's license, passport, military id, etc.) will be checked upon entrance to confirm name and age of attendee. Absence of said ID will result in our inability to allow entrance to FGW.

Under no circumstances can you give your badge away without notice if you decide not to attend due to any reason. If someone shows up to collect your badge without notice, they will be turned away from FGW. Please let us know if your plans change at info@furoticon.com.

There are four different badges issued depending on your registration status:

1) FGW Attending Badge: This is a basic registration that gets you into FGW. You may still decide to pay on-site for food and Furoticon events.

2) FGW Free Play Badge: This is a special registration that gets you into FGW and allows you to play in all Furoticon-specific tournaments. You may still decide to pay on-site for food available on-site.

3) FGW Free Food Badge: This is a special registration that gets you into FGW and allows you access to all foodstuffs made available by FGW. You may still decide to pay on-site for access to a Furoticon-specific tournament.

4) FGW Free Play & Free Food Badge: This is the max registration that gets you into FGW and allows you access to all Furoticon-specific tournaments and all foodstuffs made available by FGW.

Any attendees who attempt to swap badges with the intent of taking advantage of the other's priveledges (a Free Food pass for a Free Play pass, for example) will be subject to the "Three Strikes" rule.

Smoking
All inside areas of our location will be non-smoking. You may only smoke outside, away from entrances. Anyone being obnoxious about this rule or breaking it will be issued a "strike" as per our "three strikes" regulation.

Alcohol Consumption
Alcohol is restricted for the duration of FGW. If you are found drunk or drinking on FGW premises, your badge will be revoked, and you will be removed from the premises. Further, if anyone is found to be giving alcohol to a person under 21, both parties will be reprimanded, and removed from the premises.

Weapons
No weapons will be allowed at FGW. If you have an artificial or peace-bonded weapon to be used as part of a costume, you MUST contact and get it approved by FGW organizers first. Due to potential damage to property, water guns, paintball/airsoft guns and silly string are not acceptable at any time or for any reason.

Sexual Activity
While everyone who might attend FGW understands the adult content of Furoticon, the Hosts must ask that any sexual activity please be confined to your private hotel rooms. FGW promotes tolerance and diversity, but serious public displays of affection and nudity will not be allowed.

Attire
The Hosts ask that the attire be tasteful and should be something that is acceptable in a normal suburban environment. If we get any complaints from anyone (other attendees, staff, etc.) whomever the person is that the complaint is being made against will be asked to change. This is being asked only so that no one will be made to feel uncomfortable in the friendly environment we are trying to foster. If you have a question about something youd like to wear, please email us at info@furoticon.com, and we will give you an idea if it would be acceptable.

Harassment Policy
FGW will have ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY on harassment of any nature (physical, verbal, or sexual). If someone tells you "no," then your business with that person is done. "STOP" means "STOP!" "GO AWAY" means "GO AWAY!" If someone chooses to not understand these simple rules, contact a member of staff or one of the Hosts right away. Physical fighting of any kind can be grounds for immediate dismissal of FGW privileges.
Do not force yourself on anyone. If you want to play a game and no one is interested, either find another game or join an existing game. You may find yourself uninterested in the games currently running find a staff member or one of The Hosts and ask what else could be set up. Hassling, intentional or not, will not be tolerated.

Lost or Stolen Goods
Neither FGW Hosts, nor its individual staff members will be liable for lost, stolen or damaged personal items. Please keep an eye on your valuables, or, better yet, keep them in your hotel room. We understand that some people might be interested in bringing their laptops or other electronic devices you bring them at your own risk.
If someone is caught stealing, or with reportedly stolen goods in their possession, appropriate actions will be taken.

Selling Wares
There is to be no selling of any goods or services by attendees during the course of FGW without previous authorization.

Laws
All laws; federal, state and local, remain in effect during the event (including but not limited to assault, intimidation, weapons, drugs and indecent exposure).
Any attendee found intentionally engaging in acts which endanger life or property (setting off fire alarms as a prank is a good example of this) will have their membership revoked on the first offense. Attendees breaking the law will be unwelcome to future events sponsored by FGW. For egregious offenses, law enforcement may be called.
Do not damage our property. This includes, but is not limited to drawing on walls, furniture, tablecloths, etc. Not only could it get you kicked out of FGW, but you may also be held liable for damages.

Pets and Service Animals
Please contact us if you would like to bring a Service Animal with you to FGW so we can discuss with you the details of having an animal in our neighborhood.
Pets will not be allowed for any reason.

Press and Media Guidelines
No press or media outlet will be invited to FGW, and no press or media outlet will be entertained at FGW.
No pictures or videos will be taken or posted on the Internet without express permission of those people within the picture or video this pertains to both FGW staff and attendees. If someone takes your picture without your permission, please alert a staff member.

Copyright Infringement on the FGW Network
Attendees will have access to free wi-fi on the premises upon request. Anyone found using a FGW-provided network for illegal or inappropriate activities such as trading of copyrighted music, software, movies, or mature subject matter will have further access to all FGW-provided networks terminated permanently. Violators may also face revocation of convention membership privileges.

Final Notes
The conduct guidelines are just that: guidelines. The staff reserves the right to add or change things at any time, even during FGWs duration. Falling back on the excuse of "It's not in the conduct guidelines" will only make us add the specific incident to the conduct guidelines. Please don't make us do this.

FGW staff and Tail Kiss Studio will not be responsible for any injuries or losses incurred by FGW attendees.

Be considerate to your fellow con-goers. Practice good hygiene. Please.

Finally, the most important rule: If in doubt, DON'T.

We hope you enjoy FGW 2014!

See you there!
