Hey, do you all remember when Seppel posted that breakdown of the new mechanics for Brundali? Yeah you do, those are all pretty hype aren't they?
Show of hands, who thought those were the only mechanics we were focusing on this set? Yeah, about that--
Oh hi Phaiku, what are you doing here? You're a Strawberry furre, you've been out for a while now, this is spoiler season for new cards. What's this? You're pulling along someone on a leash? Well who'd you bring?
Woof. Meet the Fresh Cadet, he's a bit Shy.
Shy isn't one of those skills you'd think would get much focus. I mean, Shy furres can't swing, what are you supposed to do with that? Well make no mistake, even if Shy furres don't like to go out doesn't mean they can't fuck like tigers once you get them in bed.
Those PEs may look low, but don't let his shy nature fool you. Every furre your opponent sends at you just makes the Cadet all the more excited.
One swinging furre? He's a 3/2/4/2. At two swingers he's 5/4/6/4. Three puts him at 7/6/8/6, and it only goes up from there. He may be cute, but seeing his shy face will make opponents think twice about sending the whole harem after you.
On top of that he's a wolf, so even if they are sets apart he'll fit right in with the packs from Tanglebrook. Sure, he can't go out hunting with them, but he'll keep the den [i.e., your butt!] safe while they're away.
As fun as the Fresh Cadet is, he doesn't answer the question "How do I win with Shy?" Well, speaking of tigers in bed...
Bandjar is a sexual tiger in bed, and a regular tiger everywhere else. He also really loves his shy furres, so be sure to give the big guy what he loves.
Being a Renegade means Bandjar wants to swing alone. Shy furres can't swing, meaning they've got his back (giggidy). Even without another furre, Bandjar has straight 6s across the board while swinging, but you start sending out shy furres like Fresh Cadet or Sebastian, and those numbers tick up, and up, and up.
Tomorrow, the Kerno are on the train and the Heist is on!
Brundali Rail Heist preorders begin June 1st!

Shy deck in the works. Lol.
But seriously, love how this is making our lovely shy furres more useful.

@Ezekial: Yup. So long as it doesn't say "Target Opponent" or "Target Other Player" you can target yourself.
on May 19th, 2015 @ 05:26 PMFresh Cadet is adorable ezekiel_tyr
on May 19th, 2015 @ 02:15 PMwell now the question is when it says target player can you target yourself?blizleopard
on May 19th, 2015 @ 01:13 PMYou know, that makes a pack of Fresh Cadets a rather dangerous thing. 3 of them together would give serious pleasure to whatever comes your way.Lemonbread
on May 19th, 2015 @ 08:47 AMThat's pretty cool how there are cards that are basically "defenders", but there's other cards that get stronger by having more defenders. So kind of like, the best offense is a good defense :Dcuddles
on May 19th, 2015 @ 07:37 AMThought Bandjar was going to be an Owner card.otaka

on May 19th, 2015 @ 04:44 AMdrat! polkakitty beat me to the punch.
of course, this is just the Male side of the expansion we're looking at. there's still 3 more genders to go, all of which could easily have similarly effective combos.Gamerwolf85
on May 18th, 2015 @ 10:06 PMLove the fact that cadet is a wolf. Hoping there are some more in this set.polkakitty
on May 18th, 2015 @ 08:02 PMYou know, the interesting thing about this is, despite the obvious utility of using Fresh Cadet and Officer Bandjar together, it seems like Renegade Furres in general will make a good counter to Fresh Cadet, since they provide a way to take him out quickly without having to swing with more than 1 Furre. (Meddler can also help by making sure the right Furre puts out.)
