Draconis on Feb 7th, 2015 @ 04:55 PM
If Seppel and the team ever decide to do another tribes like cars set for Furoticon, my vote is for a tribe of bats. :)
Kaia_Cougar on Feb 7th, 2015 @ 03:06 PM
@Nezumi - Every set, from tanglebrook to vanilla, is set in the same world, just not the same time.
An easy way to confirm this for yourself is Gritmiser (from Tanglebrook) and Cousin Grit (from Di'Ahla's) are the same person. Dragons live long enough to bridge sets like that.
Zeneth_Starr on Feb 7th, 2015 @ 03:04 PM
I think it's time for a new Tanglebrook too. I like the idea of adding at least two new tribes (Foxes and Squirrels anyone?) with their own rules add ons and then reprinting some of the old cads from the last set. And maybe a handful of new additions.

AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's gone XD

@polkakitty: you've got some really good points. i didn't have much of a chance to get Tanglebrook cards, so i'm not really familiar with it. but what i have seen looks really good. as for releasing a new expansion in the setting, i think maybe having it be part of the same world as the Jin'von but on a different continent could work. especially if the set is a combination of Vell's End and Tribes of Tanglebrook mechanics-wise.
the Adventurers have sailed the oceans and as they travel up the rivers, looking for new lands and new civilisations, boldly going where no furre has... ahem, sorry. anyway...
so the set doesn't need any of the tribal stuff, which would help balance it, since Tanglebrook is being seen from the viewpoint of the adventurers. maybe we could even see some of the old characters as new versions where "tribal" mechanics are replaced with Fellowships (that target specific species, of course)
polkakitty on Feb 7th, 2015 @ 01:48 AM
@blizleopard - Yeah, I think Tanglebrook is still my favorite too. The setting, with everything taking place along rivers and coasts, is incredibly beautiful, it's very much a fantasy setting, but at the same time, very different from the usual castles and wizards kind of deal, and each tribe has its own very distinctive playstyle, but is still open-ended enough for there to be a lot of combo potential when you mix in cards from other sets.
I'd really like to see another set in that setting, although from a design standpoint, I think balancing it would be an absolute nightmare. If they kept all the same tribes, then when combined with the tribal support cards from the original Tanglebrook, they could easily end up being so powerful that nothing could compete with them (especially Rats and Lions,) and the pool of Furres available would get to be excessively slanted towards those types. If they kept some of the same tribes but added some new ones, the balance would still probably be tilted towards the ones that were in the original Tanglebrook.
Probably the easiest approach would be to create 6 entirely new tribes that are all different species from the ones in the first Tanglebrook, but that would be disappointing, since they wouldn't be able to keep any of the same characters (or the Shapeshifters, which I thought were the most fun part of the original.)

I wish I'd known the game sooner, I really do. I love the Tribes of Tanglebrook set. It's my favorite!

Yuri-Bloodfang on Feb 6th, 2015 @ 04:22 PM
Too bad these don't include the mats. That would be a great addition to any bundle. Figure they'd be a little bit more on the price but worth it!
Draconis on Feb 6th, 2015 @ 01:28 PM
Wow...feels like it's the end to an era almost. Congrats to whomever gets these last two Wolf Decks!
