It was a super long weekend with Seppel out of the Studio for MFF. The baby is now just over 2 months old, and we're still figuring out a good work/life balance, especially when only one of us is in charge for multiple days in a row. Don't ever let anyone tell you that working from home is fun or easy! (Though I wish I could say differently!)
Anyway, I've seen a number of emails concerning packages that haven't made it to their final destination, especially freebie packs.
I'd like to remind everyone that packages under a certain cost/size don't get tracking numbers. This is to keep our shipping rates as low and effective as possible. Especially the freebie packs, where shipping was free for you guys and cheap for us to cover, we don't have a way of specifically making sure that they were able to get to where they needed to go.
In these cases, though, I'm trying to work with the post office to figure things out - unfortunately, that means (1) waiting a certain amount of time to make sure said items aren't returned to us in the mail (this especially could happen after several weeks given the holiday, as post offices aren't efficient at returning mail that has incorrect addresses or postage); (2) going through long shipping receipts with our post office people in person (in the cases of first-class shipped packages that they may be able to find); (3) getting the time and energy for the above.
It's that last bit that's made me behind on answering emails -- to everyone who's waited for an answer, I apologize. I was hoping for some time last week to get things done and get back to you before Seppel left, but we got swamped with MFF packing, creative development for next summer's set, the baby catching his first cold, blah blah blahhhh~
Excuses are a dime a dozen right now, and I really wish they weren't. All of the experienced parents reading this right now, I expect that you're shaking your head, tsking us for our arrogance in thinking there wouldn't be a dip in productivity, but there was no way for us to know until being in the thick of it! Ahh!
Rest assured that we're trying to pick up on customer service and figuring this out. Seppel will be back in the office this evening, and we should be set to answer everyone this week.
Thank you for your time, patience, and, most importantly, support!
Here's a sneak peek at our buttons for Caramel, just so you don't go without some new art to check out!
I especially love the Dean's expression!
