Zinna is whip-smart and more than capable of handling life by herself, but she learns quickly that her relationship with Asti is far more fulfilling than being a lone fox. After a rocky start, their love bloomed, and Zinna discovered the perks of being the girlfriend of a merchant's daughter -- especially one with such good taste in clothing!

Not one to be satisfied with just one of anything, Zinna kept her mind and eyes open for other potential lovers -- with Asti's knowledge and encouragement. Both partners felt comfortable adding a third to their relationship.
"He seems nice," Asti used to say after meeting some of Zinna's lovers.
But the fox always had a quick answer at the ready -- "He's just looking for a free bed," or, "He has no motivation," or, "Don't you know? He's a Conductor."

Jory is a zebra who works for Vell's End Construction, a business owned by the prestigious Patron Ravamani. While out on an errand, Zinna stumbled into him and the two instantly connected -- especially with Zinna's drink spilled down the front of his shirt.
To both their surprise, Zinna offered to make him dinner as an apology. The dinner was splendid, though dessert was even better!

The next morning is the first time the two women agree on a partner. Jory's strong work ethic makes Asti happy, and his carefree and simple nature appeals to Zinna. While a polyamorous relationship had never occurred to Jory, he found that he had no problem becoming friends with Asti, and sharing her love for Zinna.
Sev's entrance into this existing pride was relatively smooth and unremarkable. He was very clear, though, that Zinna's disdain for Conductors was a benefit to his own need to keep secrets.

I can think of many reasons the use of magic may have ebbed from this time period. Something may have changed people's perceptions of Conductors and magic users, leading to mistrust, so magic users had to go underground. Or the source of these powers somehow weakened or petered off. Or, less romantically, other interests came to the fore of the patrons, so the interest in, and hence cultivation of, of magic users declined.
We'll just have to wait and see.

Fascinating. I was wondering where Di'Ahla and Kemah Karah fit together in the timeline. I've been keeping an eye out for if any Tanglebrook connections show up, especially in the hinterland regions.
Also, seems magic must have died out of common knowledge somewhere in between, since Triskelion shows no sign of magical beings (excepting the incredible lifespans of dragons). Though the cultists of Kakoknhave shown it must not be dead.

BlueJay: A precursor, not a continuance, since Zinna is around hundreds of years before Pardia! I didn't design Zinna with Pardia in mind, but maybe, subconsciously, it was meant to be... ;)

Yup, I'm a fan of the art for this character. Can't wait to see more.

Liking Jory, but Zinna seems to me a continuance of Pardia Gaar, and that's unsettling.

Now that picture from the banner makes sense. When it first went up I was thinking "who's that other fox? I mean, she kind of looks like the same character as the one on the left, but why can't we see her face?"
But it's a lovely one, to be sure. Those eyes, wow.

Zinna is sure a beautiful creation.
