Furoticon Online: News in All Flavors
      by Callista Skip

I've got a few things to tell you all, and we're going cover the spectrum from "blah" to "yay" news.

Let's start with the not-shiny news first:

Furoticon Online will NOT be fully released in June, as previously estimated.

While this is hard for us to admit to ourselves, much less to all of you, it's something that needs to be said sooner than later. The developer team has been working hard, and our Art Director, Sigil, has been organizing all of the custom avatar needs and working with our pixel artist team.

What it absolutely comes down to, though, is that we're new to this industry, and the immense amount of work that has to come to pass has thrown us for a loop. It is more important to us that we release an amazing game with as few glitches as possible than it is that we get one out faster, but still half-baked.

Now that the 3rd Vanilla: Strawberry physical card set is off to the printers, we can pull our heads out of the sand a little and commit to regular updates on FurO so you guys can be in on our plans as we continue to work toward finishing this game.

Let's move on to the not-as-"well, damn" news:

Sex animations will have to be held off until a post-release update.

In the spirit of getting the release out as soon as possible, we are going to have to resort to dumbing down the "In Bed" sexual animations for the short term. You will still see every character in amazing (pixel) detail, and they will still have movement/personality -- the graphic sex will just have to wait another few months post-release to be implemented.

"Can we please read something better now?"

All Offbeatr Supporters are going to be invited to play the beta version when it's released.

Several of you contacted us during our Offbeatr campaign looking to see if you could help with beta testing and game development. Well, your chance will come sooner than later!

Once our developers give us the green light on the beta version, we're going to be putting the call out to all of our supporters to come take a crack at the game. I'm not going to lie -- we will expect there to be glitches and game issues during the beta version. But, we also expect there to be opportunities for important community input! This will be your chance to potentially affect the way the game gets played upon release!

And, now, for something completely different:

Find Furoticon on Tumblr!

Pictures, news, and more!
(...actually, probably only those things)

Sigil has been kind enough to start our Tumblr page! It'll be a place that you'll be able to find information mainly about Furoticon Online, but also what's going on around shop. You can also use the "Ask" function to send questions our way! Seppel and I will be featured on there too, to answer questions and keep you guys updated on what's going on in our tiny part of the world!

In conclusion...

We hope you all understand how appreciative we are of your support. We are dedicated to making sure that you are all rewarded for your time, money, and interest! Rest assured that we are working hard, and want to keep you on board for as much as we can during this process.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, and thank you all for reading.

Hey, if it's just a Furoticon version of the original M:tG computer game (1995), that's good enough for beta testing. The "flash and animation" can come in as it gets finished, but the core gameplay is why we play in the first place. I take it there will be a forum or email where we can post glitches during testing?

Yeah, it is more important to me as an supporter to experience no glitches in the game, that i have high hopes for.
