Offbeatr has heard your complaints loud and clear, and are now giving everyone until Sunday, November 18th to try and figure out issues with their cards or banks.
We're sorry to hear that some people have been having a very rough time with this part of the process, and we want you to know that even if your pledge ultimately can't go through for whatever bureaucratic reason -- we still very much appreciate the support and intention that you had in pledging.
Remember that we've got some information on the credit card issue here!
Also, please email Offbeatr's support team ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) to see if they can give you any other information to deal with any issue you may have.
This will put us back a little on the rest of our plan -- the surveys and updates -- but that will all be resolved soon, hopefully. :)

I didn't have any problems, but my bank charged me a "foreign transaction fee" since the payment processor is in the UK. Not a deal breaker or anything, but I suppose that's something to be aware of.

@glink: Uhhh, no, I don't think they're just roadblocking us. Read the info that's already been posted on the issues that are happening first - it's people's BANKS that are not allowing the processing.

I'm not sure about how the other countries operate, but if an Offbeatr initiative ends in a Friday, it should let some more days to resolve issues with the banks, as they might not open on Saturdays and Sundays.

Sad to hear so many are still having trouble, but at least they have more time now. And Vermika, as long as you got a payment confirmation email and all your pledges show up in the paid transactions section on offbeatr, you should be good.
glink on Nov 12th, 2012 @ 07:18 AM
wow that is not very good sounding i think they just do not want to do it for us
Vemika on Nov 12th, 2012 @ 04:01 AM
I hope that this is a 'no news is good news' situation, since I have not received any sort of denial e-mail from Offbeatr about my pledge. Certainly wouldn't hurt if I could find out that everything is alright.

Best of luck to those who are trying to sort their pledges out. I was lucky to call my bank during when Fossil was running his project, so manage to sort out their issues weeks ago.
Kiba_M on Nov 12th, 2012 @ 12:14 AM
Yeah, these CC issues suck >.< I had a friend who couldn't get everything sorted out in time to pledge.
Drex on Nov 11th, 2012 @ 10:43 PM
Sucks people are having issues. Mine seems to have gone through fine. Hopefully everyone can get it figured out!
