We're getting ready to bring back webcam tournaments! Get your 40-card decks ready! (Starter decks are welcome!)
Webcam tournaments are a great way to earn game points and possibly walk away with a lot of Furos! When you are logged in to your account, you can see how many game points you have by going to your control panel and clicking on the Furoticon tab. If you have the most points after this league year is over (May 2013), you win a custom Furoticon card featuring your character, to appear in a new set!
...and furos can be used to get free cards and more!

We're implementing a few changes to help make webcam tournaments more entertaining for the players. First off, the names of the tournament levels were a little intimidating to players, so now the levels are named Basic, Generous, and Extra Generous! The only difference is the signup cost, the game points earned, and the Furos earned. Win up to 26 game points and 2400 Furos per tournament! Play big to win big!
Additionally, since Tinychat's video quality is degrading, we will be using Skype to run our webcam tournaments!
Our resident green tiger, Tsumi, has won enough Furoticon games already, so I'm appointing him head judge of webcam tournaments. He has a firm grasp on the rules of the game, so if you have a rules question while playing, don't be afraid to ask him! Also, if he ever starts acting improperly, please bring that to my attention. :)

We will announce the time and level of the next webcam tournament soon!
Question to players who want to play: What days and times work best for you? What timezone are you in?

I hope this becomes a regular thing :3 Great way to earn points when you can't make it to cons X3

Ha ha. "Firm grasp". I see what you did there.
Seppel on Jul 29th, 2012 @ 12:27 PM
Yes, even if you've never played a game, as long as you know the rules, you can compete. :)

Are complete n00bs welcome? As in I've never gotten to play a game yet?
SoliduSnake on Jul 29th, 2012 @ 07:38 AM
I am from AZ so... I have my own time zone really. I'd like to play in the webcam tournaments cuz I don't really have anyone to play with at home. I'm usually free any day but some weekends I will be busy.
PheenX on Jul 29th, 2012 @ 12:58 AM
hmm, usually saturday any time, or friday night are good...but that's bound to change come fall :/
Daralyn on Jul 29th, 2012 @ 12:27 AM
yeah - but I must add that I'm from middle europe so... well
it will be quite hard to catch this :-(
Felidire on Jul 29th, 2012 @ 12:02 AM
Weekends are always good, and the 9PM EST setup that bozo was using works fine for anyone in Asia, Aus and NZ. (anyone GMT +6 through +13.) I doubt it's very friendly on the Western European countries, though.
I'm GMT +8, which is basically polar opposite to Eastern US time. x3
madcatmax on Jul 28th, 2012 @ 11:38 PM
Hmm, It seems I will be looking for a new webcam...
sirdan87 on Jul 28th, 2012 @ 11:08 PM
Most Excellent news to hear. It would be nice to get back into the swing of playing again.
I live in Eastern time. I normally have off on Wednesdays and the weekends.
captainbozo on Jul 28th, 2012 @ 08:26 PM
MAN I need to get a new laptop soon so I can participate!
Also, my best times would be in the evening during the weekends. Friday-Sunday would be preferable. I can't make Tuesdays or Thursdays :3
I'm in the Pacific time zone.

*Sigh* Someday I will have High Speed Internet, and Someday I will have a Web Cam so that I can take Part in these Tournaments. But that Day is not today -_- . To everyone who is Competing though, best of luck to all of you n_nd !

I'm in mountain time zone and can make time whenever I need to. I'll have to buy a webcam, though... or make some sort of mirror contraption so my laptop's camera points at the cards instead of me.

Maybe this time I can actually win a match, and not because it was a bye. =D. I've been working on my decks, getting ready for RMFC.
Seppel on Jul 28th, 2012 @ 02:26 PM
You can play with starter decks!
