Inquisitor Thexa

Post by CitrusTwist » Tue Jan 06, 2015 12:44 am

So a question about [c]Inquisitor Thexa[/c]. So let's say hir ability is used and then ze is returned to your hand. Assuming you had enough AP, if you played hir the same turn from your hand could ze steal the same creature's skills even though they are technically not there until the end of turn?

I think this is question that needs one answer at a time...

If shi steals a furres' skills, and then leaves the scene before the end of the turn, are the furres' skills returned immediately, or at the end of the turn?

This is very important if there are multiple Thexa's in the scene at the same time. IF THE SKILLS ARE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY upon Thexa leaving the scene, it becomes possible to use one Thexa to steal, then activate a skill that requires exhausting, followed by removing the used Thexa from the scene in order to reset the skills to the opponents furre. From there your second Thexa can then steal and activate the skill, and so on.

You technically could, but as you said, since the target's skills have already been removed, Thexa would be stealing nothing the second time around. Shi'd need to wait until the end of turn trigger that unwipes the target's skills for hir steal to be useful again on that target.

Unless there's something mechanically weird I'm missing, the 'target Furre loses all skills until end of turn' effect remains like that even if Thexa leaves the scene. It'd be the same whether shi's pulled back into your hand, or shi climaxes, or even if shi changes control. Once hir skill resolves, it's set in place.

Now, if Thexa were to leave the scene and be replayed on the same turn, shi would not have the stolen skills -- shi's coming in fresh, as if shi hadn't played anything previously.

Tegome is correct -- nothing special happens if either Thexa or the other Furre leave the scene (except if the other Furre is played again, it starts out completely fresh).
